The Casual Dining Show proved a big hit with buyers last week, attracting some of the UK’s biggest pub groups and branded restaurant chains.
The two day show, which opened at the Business Design Centre in London on 24-25 February, offered established and new casual dining operators the opportunity to meet up with existing and potential suppliers, to network, discover new products, and keep up with changing market trends.
This year Reynolds impressed visitors with a showcase of exiting fruits and vegetables, including some of the recent Peruvian produce additions to the global range.
The exhibition also featured the work of the Reynolds food development team, with Chef Director Ian Nottage, and Food Development Chef Diane Camp hosting visitors with an array of exotic tasters throughout both days, including the spectacular baked Okinawan purple sweet potatoes and compressed pineapple infused with blueberries.
This year’s Casual Dining Show featured over 170 top exhibitors and welcomed over 4,400 attendees from over 2,000 companies.
A great selection of keynote speakers sparked plenty of insightful debate and discussion. Speakers included Horizon’s Peter Backman; David McDowall, MD of bars at BrewDog; Mark McCulloch, founder and group CEO of WE ARE Spectacular; Kate Nicholls, chief executive of the ALMR; Mark McQuater, chief executive of Revolution Bars Group; and Keith Bird, chief operating officer at Gourmet Burger Kitchen and many more .
