Reynolds’ Runner Beans run 10K for Springboard

On Sunday 28th of February, the Reynolds Runner Beans put on their running shoes for the 2016 Hotelympia 10k event in support of the industry charity Springboard.

All funds raised are used to help young, unemployed and disadvantaged people improve their prospects for economic well being by providing opportunities for sustainable employment across the hospitality, leisure and tourism industry.

Icy conditions didn’t cool the ambitions of the 17 strong Reynolds team, as each Runner Bean took to the pathways around the Excel Centre and Royal Victoria Docks. Lead by Tony Reynolds, the runners battled against a stiff chilling wind but were warmly cheered on by our own Reynolds fan club every step of the way.

Tony Reynolds was the first to finish from the Reynolds pack, followed by Conor O’Brien in second, and Stewart Lawson in third.

Conor O’Brien ,Head of the Reynolds Refresh and Revitalise Committee, commented on the day “It was great to see so many of my Reynolds co-workers out enjoying themselves, encouraging each other on and hitting their fitness goals.”

Runners on the day included… Tony Reynolds, Conor O’Brien, Morris Jones, Trevor Parrish, Laura Parrish, Luke Chorley, Christopher Nwazota, Stuart Lawson, Penny Djouma, Katarzyna Rogalka, Aleksandra Pietka, Lenny Boultwood, Stanley van Geleen, Lana Freeman, Debi Vaughan, Michael Stewart, Gergo Soltesz and Elsa Dias.

Congratulations to all you healthy beans! Special mentions reserved for Christopher Nwazota, Lana Freeman, Penny Djouma and Elsa Dias, on their début Runner Beans success.
